Fishy update (I suck at jokes....)

I found out about the tricks for getting the good status, and I was experiment and found out that the 'yank the rod all the way to left and right' works for just X, and not for both Square and X only. Actually, it's much easier with just pressing X both times than to use X for just the right and Square for just the left.
