Lonewulf's Play-through (God Mode)

Post by Lonewulf » Wed Jul 04, 2012 4:32 pm

I was going to just keep track of my progress and whatnot on my lappy with Wordpad. But then I thought "Why not here?" That way others can see what i'm trying to do and stuff (or not, lol). Anywho's, lemme explain what the point of all of this is. The end-goal.

The point of this play-through is to make accessories that give the level-up bonuses to all stats as early in the game (and as low leveled) as possible. Then, power-leveling up to max level making my stats God-like. Why? Because I do this with any and all RPG's that let me. Because I find it fun and challenging. And the rewards are pretty cool...bosses fall before you like peons MUAHAHAHAHAHHA!
I won't lie...this will take me a good looooong while and I likely won't be updating CONSTANTLY. But, I do plan to post picture updates so you can actually see the benefits at work and stuff. For the most part though, this is just to entertain myself...I'm posting it here only because there may be someone else around here who finds this interesting.

*******MAJOR EDIT**********: Due to hasty mistakes and time constraints I have changed my goal to just maxing out Lang. It's easier, faster and makes for a less-stressful Battle Arena (since you fight your party members).

My progress so far...
Day one: Started game today. Fought battles in Hunter's Spring, Galvan in party, up to level 6 (and still going). What i'm doing is building up a hefty supply of Gold to help buy all the accessories i'm going to need. I'm doing this in Hunter's Spring because the enemies give very little EXP but they drop a fairly good variety of items which sell for a good price. Netting me lots of gold with little gain in levels. Also, the levels I will gain are going make Gale Canyon a breeze. Doing this with Galvan in party makes it alot easier. He absorbs damage like a champ and self-heals after every battle AND he kills stuff dead making the whole process go by faster. That is all so far. Wish me luck everyone! Wish me patience is more like it :D Ended the day at level 12.

Day two: Finished off the Hunter's Wood/Spring, killing Giant Bug dead. Breezed through Gale Canyon, murdering Elfin and Marienne (I always kill Marienne since I HATE that little....bad word). Winning boosted me to level 13. Fought my way through Doplin Castle, getting to level 15 in the process. The Mighty Balken falls quickly to a few Battle Flashes. Finally at Darakin! I can now combine accessories. Bought alot of Tiger Jewels and Chance Jewels to make my first 'Bonus' accessory, the epic Hero Bangle. Cost me over 90k in T. Jewels and C. Jewels to make it, exhausting my supply of Gold. Returned to Hunter's Wood to max the accessory (unlocking STR Bonus) and now i'm 'grinding' in the Woods. Not trying to level but instead get more Gold. I need more Hero Bangles for all my future party members! Ended the day at level 18 with enough gold to make 2 more Hero Bangles, 3 Winners Jewels (CHA bonus) and 1 Wizard's Ring (INT bonus). Not too shabby!

Day three: Spending time in Hunter's Wood to max my new accessories and to grind for more monies now that i'm broke again. Since i'm a tad bit over-leveled (just a little) it's taking a little longer to do this since enemies are fleeing from time to time. It hasn't gotten too bad though. When I acquire enough gold to make 2 more Wizard's Ring I will have 3 bonus accessories on each character (when Kazan joins). Not bad at all for this early in the game...a little note, btw: I had to buy Maya and Langs worst equips at that 'junk' shop in Darakin. The decrease in weight is necessary to equip all 3 accessories at once. Luckily, the downsides to the crap-equips are pretty much null since i'm over-leveled. It almost makes it to where I seem to be normally leveled, lol.

Day whichever-i'm-on: I have progressed quite nicely ^_^ I'm up to the part where i'm just learning about Ellsworth (Wind Tower). Since I have access to Phoorchoon now, I have created the BIG 3 accessories. The 3 accessories that have all 8 lvl.up stat bonuses. I have been grinding up to level 78 and Lang's stats are looking good. With 'starting' equips they don't look like much. With current 'best' equips he looks like a god already. I'm saving up all my leaf/fruit items until I can upgrade them to Fruit of the Gods to make his stats even higher! What I want to do is make it to where any decent weapon/armor will bring me to 999 in each stat. That way I can just focus on accessories with great skills instead of stat-boosts. Also, I can focus on using weapon/armor that has useful skills instead of the ones with the biggest stat bonus since I wont NEED the stat bonuses. Currently doing the Centurion Challenge to level myself up (using a Add EXP and Steal EXP accessory). Hope to get to 99 today and progress the story a bit!

That's cool and all, but I will stick to just buying leafs and fruits from the antique shop. Might cost tons of money but stats are stats.
