Re: Astral Sword
You know, when Gaza (human form) uses the Astral Slash attack, it looks a lot like Swordie's attacks. Although Swordie only appears in-game in Sebucus (and the final dungeon), I can't help but conjecture that that was the Seru out of which the Astral Sword was constructed.

Re: Astral Sword
Wouldn't be surprised TBH
He probably bended all that together with the spar metal he got from killing all those spoons.
That sentence will never sound right.

it really do be like that tho
Re: Astral Sword
That actually sounds cool
And now my Swordie idea becomes more interesting (to me)
Swordie moves up on my list

Re: Astral Sword
No, I don't believe so. If memory serves, there was only Spoon in the main part of Sol, and then Kemaro (!) and Aluru on the bottom floor, near Warrior's Square.
In fact, the only wind Seru in any part of Karisto are the Barra in the Floating Castle, and their L2 Variant in the Absolute Fortress. Nove and Swordie are excusive to Sebucus (Swordie in Jeremi, Vidna, and Dohati's Castle, Nova in the Underground Path, Fire Path, and Dohati's Castle.)

Re: Astral Sword
I say it's made from Kemaro fangs/bones infused with the metal from Aluru and Spoon. The Kemaro components give it the sturdiness as a feature of earth seru and the Aluru/Spoon parts give it its light magic/element/power.
As for the actual attack, Gaza is a seasoned warrior so he's probably seen Swordies elsewhere. So what better way to make/use a sword than imitate a Swordie?

Re: Astral Sword
More likely that it's made from Barra, I think. At least it's feasible that they could have flown down the columns of Mist spewed out by the Floating Castle and made their way to Sol. Maybe not a likely occurrence, so that's why you don't see them. That, or Gameplay and Story Segregation.
However, it's even more likely that it was made from a dead Seru in the years before the Mist - one of the soldiers in the Conkram of the Past noted that Gaza was an incredibly powerful warrior from Sol even 12+ years before the Mist, and there's no reason for me to believe that he didn't already possess the Astral Sword then.

Re: Astral Sword
I guess when he uses the Astral sword, he puts the two parts together and they combine as one?
And I like the idea of Swordie being used to make the sword. Thats a great concept for future Legaia games, refining weapons from dead monsters

Legend of Legaia, a pinnacle of human achievement, will always have a place in my heart

Re: Astral Sword
Isn't the item crafting in Legaia 2 something similar - take the materials you get from fighting monsters to forge and strengthen your weaponry...IronJustice wrote:I guess when he uses the Astral sword, he puts the two parts together and they combine as one?

Maybe not the most... elegant solution, but passable.
