Should a Legend of Legaia remake be rated M for Mature?
Re: Should a Legend of Legaia remake be rated M for Mature?
I think it should be M, not so much to make it creepier like a horror game but maybe thelimbs being ripped off, references to gambling, alcohol and stuff like that. I think the slightly childish humor in the game was fun, I wouldn't want to lose that for "creepy".

Alright, so I got to thinking about this again.
I believe the T rating is the best choice.
See, the T rating is usually what they give JRPGs, and I can see that being the default to go to. I feel like the E rating would make the game too "kiddy," and I think that there is a chance to make the world more...suitable for the gamers that would actually buy it.
But the T rating also includes some light swearing (nothing big like F bombs). I'm guessing the main characters would be teenagers/young adults, so they should definitely show it by venting frustration via these light curses. The T rating also encompasses the "suggestive themes," which are very abundant in games (especially JRPGs)
I think the game would be great as a T game along the lines of the Tales series. There's some swearing, suggestive themes, violence, etc, but nothing like gore, full nudity, or dropping F bombs, as most games wearing the M rating seem to have.

Im up for either way just want to have that initial experience of catching people off guard and making them surprised and terrified on their first run thru the game is all. I loved that about the game the first time i played it.

Id honestly be fine with the M rating as long as its just for the blood and gore level of games like GOW, But I feel like T would just fit it more with What Legaia and Legaia 2 had. T lets you have suggestive themes, violence, light swearing and stuff like that and I feel like that is all the game needs

Yes, M for Mature. I want to see the violent side of Serus, it's monster vs monster. They're not "defeating" each other, they're killing each other~

Not blood in the sense of, say, Gears of War >_>
But I think there was a sort of thriller/suspense aspect of Legaia in the form of the Mist and Seru. I remember when Rim Elm was attacked by Juggy when I was a kid, and I was always scared I was gonna die
