As in, get BEYOND the whole MC being a "brave teenager with a sword blind to the girl who likes him" kinda thing. It's annoying.
And as for Lang's going without parents, he didn't seem bothered by it at all. I don't remember any part of the game in which he broke down or separated himself because he missed his parents or felt pained by that. He was fine.
I didn't complain about Vahn (though I'm not a fan of silent protagonists)

I also agree that we don't need young teenagers to be the hero's. If we take the realistic approach to life, the chances of a teenager saving an entire world compared to some 30 year old man is going to be a very narrow chance - assuming the older man isn't a complete idiot.

And walnutz, I was confused about Avalon because we were JUST talking about how Lang isn't the most mature hero and how I haven't seen him suffer because of his "no parents" thing
