PS4 & Xbox One

Just as I predicted and said many times, where no one would believe me, many reviewers are saying "They seem to perform the same!" as if it's a shocker. This is what happens when people don't listen to geeks. Of course, there are still those stubborn reviewers saying "The games look the same, but the PS4's GPU is better!!!" when it's honestly just about the same in performance. Just more idiots who depend on simply seeing the numbers more than HOW those numbers come into play.

Summary: Whichever console has the exclusive games you favor is the better console. So this topic is equivalent to "PS4 Games and Controls vs. Xbox One Games and Controls" for the most part. Unless you want to discuss the home screens, camera's, etc. then whatever lol.

It's just a matter of "gamers" that wanna spend their money and think just because one says "PS3" and the other says "PS4", it makes a huge difference (and considering the leap from things like PS1 --> PS2 or Gameboy Color --> GBA SP and stuff, I can't blame all of them).

Meh. I'm fine with my PS2 that recently decided that it wants to be a PS1 and ignore all PS2 games.

I get where you're comin from, Red, but you are in a completely different lane of complaints here.

"Gamers" don't decide when the new cycle begins; the Big Three do. They're all competitors, so they have to constantly advance in order to stay on top.

There is a HUGE reason for getting the next gen other than "they're all spoiled idiots who wanna waste money being sheep" and whatever other garbage "criticisms" you wanna sling at em.

The industry is constantly evolving - as it should. New tech comes out and new ideas and mechanics are implemented. Demographics are morphing like crazy. This is in ALL areas, not just games.

You buy new systems to be a part of the new gen. To get access to the new games and to continue to support the industry.

Nobody's making you buy new systems. Nobody's confiscating your older ones when new gens arrive.

This is by no means a black-and-white issue and it certainly has nothing to do with morals or values.

I SO want to get a PS4 I have every SONY console and think they are all AMAZING, Im just waiting for SONY to iron out some of the console's problems first before I get one! :mrgreen:

I'm not getting either one until I've got time to actually *look* at a console. I bought a year for my xbox 360 promising myself to play it more in my free time. That failed miserably. So I probably won't care for consoles until I've graduated school lol.

Eh, that Xbox 360 mama bought me ended up being a better DVD player than anything else- love watchin Sooyoung and Yoona on my flat screen telly vizzzzhun.

Did the newer junk this threads about have better DVD w.e. or is it the same.
