Astral Sword
Re: Astral Sword
i'm not sure but..
that 野菜 astral sword is quite useless in the game for vahn...
its too bad, because it looks cool.. it shouldn't take wide space like that so gamer will equip them..

Re: Astral Sword
I think it'd be ok to have the wide space if they had some unique arts that would work ONLY with the astral sword.

Re: Astral Sword
I'd be fine with it if the Astral Sword had enough attack stat to justify using it. And by that, I mean 150+. At least the damage output would be consistent with what you could otherwise be doing at that level.
Do not question yourself with the why or the how. I simply am, and that is all you need to know.

Re: Astral Sword
If I recall correctly, it did do some damage for the left arm, I remember noticing that Vahn's Ra-seru Arm once did like 270, but when he hit with his regular arm (the one basically holding AS) it did about 400
Not surprising since its the second strongest weapon in the game (for Vahn)
And if you order your arts correctly, you could do the same amount of Damage a Miracle Art would do (before obtaining the Ra-seru blade) for Vahn than it would w/o the AS.
If thats too unclear, its more or less like this:
Miracle Art at Cort (first) did about 3000 dmg, costing 99 AP
The arrangement of (iirc) Fire blow, Tornado Flame, and a third technique that I squeezed in there did about 3000 as well, and it only wasted like 70-85 AP
Unfortunately, I don't remember the exact order of Arts that I used. All I can remember is that it was efficient and easy to reuse after 1 or 2 Spirits (with the Damage Cort gave, it was ready the next turn)
Forgive me for my uncertain information, its been awhile, I have no time to play Legaia anymore ;____;

Re: Astral Sword
I think someone mentioned it before but it would be cool if equipping the Astral Sword made Vahn able to use Astral Slash.
Other than that, I think the Astral Sword + Evil Medallion combo works pretty well.

Re: Astral Sword
Yeah, thinking about it more, they definitely should've done more with it
\
Stuff like:
- Give Vahn the Astral Slash/some special art(s)
- Choose either greatsword or dual arm blade form
- Super high attack/strongest weapon for Vahn
- Deal extra damage to Seru enemies
- Be unblockable
- Increase chance of absorbing Seru
idk. Just...something more

Re: Astral Sword
I thought the Astral sword was fine how it was. In my mind it was more there as a small trophy rather then to efficently be used in battle. I mean he's holding it with one hand, that can't be effective at all.
I would always use it and accept the wide bar, more out of an added challenge to the game then because it was a smart choice.

Re: Astral Sword
If you arrange your arts right, it can can do just as much damage as a Chaos Breaker + Miracle Arts.
I used a combination of Hyper Arts during my charge and I only wasted about 70-85 AP, but Vahn still did about the same amount of damage as Gala and Noa's miracle art.

Re: Astral Sword
I liked taking the time to beat Lapis as soon as you could go back to Mt. Dhini just for the Evil Medallion + Astral Sword. From a story perspective I like equipping those two on Vahn during the final battle because it's as if he's so pissed from what Juggernaut did that he goes berserk, and the Astral Sword being with him is like Gaza getting justice against the Mist.
