I hope I was able to help. I can't believe I had caught the Jack with a whole different lure. I guess I was just lucky.

I've know about this for ages.
You can get the Ra-Seru spells Meta, Terra, and Ozma above level 1 right when you get them. First get a Ra-Seru Egg as early as possible (the Earth Ra-Seru Egg can be obtained the earliest) and turn it into a talisman.
Throughout the game, level up that Ra-Seru spell as much as possible. If you have the talisman equipped to the character in which you were leveling up the Ra-Seru Talisman spell, whichever spell they obtain from their Genesis Tree will be the same level as the spell you were leveling up. I got the Ozma spell at level 7!

This fish gave 1 the the the the of a fight, but I'm sure glad I caught it
