Didn't someone have the v-jump stats on every droppable & stealable item in the game? I can't find the info anywhere. Also, did it happen to include drop or steal chance, or even what Bronze Book actually does?

If not, that will be my new mission! I will try looking through the game code and finding all of it. However, I already failed my first attempt last night before bed. Spent about 30 mins and didn't get anywhere. But maybe because I'm using the game's debug mode to fight battles, or the info I got online was wrong.

But seemed pretty simple enough to look in the memory and search for the item an enemy could drop. Then load a different enemy and search for that item. Should point right to where it stores the item to drop in memory, but no! Not consistent.

So giving up on that, I instead put a breakpoint for when the game reads the Accessory slots (for Bronze book), but alas it didn't. It only reads it AFTER a battle, so it must preset some flags for Bronze book before a battle even starts.

Then I thought I found that flag, but it wasn't being read either. So I gave up for the night.

Me and a couple of others have the V-Jump guide but I can't even begin to translate it. I don't sprekken ze language. I don't know if any one else on here has tried yet.

I've read a little through it, but haven't completely translated it all or anything. Was going to put all that info on the site in the future, but never did get to it lol. And now I'm too lazy to walk into the other room and look for it

Also, behold!! I have found the Steal Drop Table and the steal % chance! It may be a little bit before I get it into a nice format but I have it saved in raw hex format right now.

I will have to test some of it, it's based off what looks like to be the # of enemy in the debug menu...

However, the 00 one is wrong, so I think Gobu might be elsewhere because it has

00 FF

where 00 = 0% steal
and FF = Item ID (Platinum Card)

Also saw one more entry after the supposed last enemy, a 1% steal of Miracle Water.

I remember being able to steal Miracle Water from Jette's clone; I wonder if that may be related?

Nice, hopefully you'll get it all figured out and put together. I got my V-Jump guides (I have 2) from Ebay about a year ago.

Jette's clone only has Wisdom waters to be stolen, unless you can steal more than one thing from them, I think his clones have a chance of dropping miracle water at the end of the battle, but pretty sure you can only get 1. (I tried to get beefed up before fighting him a long time ago to steal 99 Miracle waters since several guides say you can steal miracle from his clones, but I was so sad when I got wisdom waters instead.) Oh also you can steal a miracle water from the original if you are lucky if I'm not mistaken.

I use the Legaia Shrine item drop list which seems to be quite accurate however, doesn't list Evil Fly or Comm and also doesn't have steal %chance. http://shrines.rpgclassics.com/psx/legaia/nonseru.shtml

Hrmm well I just tried it and it looks like you only get wisdom waters.

Jette's id is 170, and so is his clone. So when the game lookups steal info, it is the same as Jette's:

Wisdom Water, 30%

Also, I think I can rest assured now. The debug faq says Battle 00 is Gobux4, which is right, however it still loads in Gobu Gobu's with ID of 4. So I'm going to trust the game is in order and dump out the steal chart, maybe quick before bed here.

Oh, and I found out that 1% steal Miracle water was Koru. Someone did mention that the Debug faq doesn't have it, but battle 182 is Koru.

Another weird one, battles 183-186 are all Absolute Fortress versions of Cort, but with their own Identity. Anything between 187-200 crashes the game. So someone making the game copied and pasted too many times Since they have their own IDs, they DO have weird entries in the lookup table...

5% drop for waters? About what I was guessing. Strongly discourages water farming.
I got lucky with my 2 crimson books, that's for sure. 3% is very low.
