Okay so I found out Nighto's level only affects his base chance of success. You still only have 1/8th chance he'll try to kill an enemy rather than confuse.

Here are the base chance levels:

Lvl 1 - 9/18 - 50.00%
Lvl2 - 9/17 - 52.94%
Lvl 3 - 9/16 - 56.25%
Lvl 4 - 9/15 - 60.00%
Lvl 5 - 9/14 - 64.29%
Lvl 6 - 9/13 - 69.23%
Lvl7 - 9/12 - 75.00%
Lvl8 - 9/11 - 81.82%
Lvl9 - 9/10 - 90.00%

Oh yeah, forgot to mention Jedo's level does not matter. The game never even checks it when you cast him so it's only for MP consumption.

Jedo has like a 100% Insta-Kill accuracy right? I haven't used'em yet.

Bah! Looks like it only works on the last boss in Debug mode whoops! Tried it with Nighto today and the game doesn't even calculate the chance or check Nighto's level. As well for Jedo, who cannot instant kill the boss, so instead he does damage following the standard Seru and Character INT values. Also Jedo did NOT receive any experience for hurting Cort! :(

Looking at my notes earlier, I think I was dyslexic in reading the assembly code. There is a flag for debug mode that DOES allow you to confuse/kill enemies that you normally cannot. Boo.

Well I did run across something new while checking this. Found an immune to status/death flag on all the enemies and captured it. Sure enough, Berserker is missing his for some reason. Oddly, there are three every day enemies that have it too.

Literally, none of these "bosses" matter except for Berserker. Usin' it on Viguro is lame. I don't think you even have it with Golem (who felt like more of a mini-boss since Terra-wolf basically makes you the strongest small-fry ever).

Yeah I was curious about the few monster families that were flagged immune. For one, since it shows Lapis is immune and he's clearly not, I want to see if Giliums (or more likely Evil Wings) are immune or not. But that's what the game memory shows : / I'm sure they have some silly custom code (if enemy == lapis; don't load immunity flag;) or something. I'd have to debug that fight.

And also, which Seru summon can cause the most possible damage? Like, under what conditions can you take it as far as it can go?
