At the exact same time he told them all of the timer towards teleportation, Bird's screen gave him a timer that counted down to the millisecond on the bottom right corner of his HUD. Satisfied, he looked to the rest of the competitors and started counting off different strategies based on what little he knew of them.
He first locked onto Vulres, who was leaning against the wall behind him, arms crossed. His breathing was already heavy, but it was definitely not from fatigue. The source was most likely his want to get to the fighting already. His body was devoid of any injuries, even after his fights with Bird, Kors, and Camas, save for scars he had already attained when Bird first saw him.
His strength and durability was Bird's biggest concern. A quick dispatch was not likely without going full out, and Bird wasn't planning to use all of his battery power on Vulres only to fall victim to any other competitors soon afterwards. No, he would have to work with other fights in order to conserve his energy. He could likely shoot him from a distance, as close-quarters combat would put Bird at a disadvantage. It would cost him heavy amounts of battery power, but it was worth it. Vulres was a major threat at this stage.
Bird's gaze shifted over to Kors, who was not too far from Vulres. The white-haired boy was already staring straight at the robot, and their eyes locked, neither moving or expressing any sort of emotion or stance. After awhile, Kors turned to another fighter with a smirk on his face. Bird was most cautious of Kors at the moment. He knew little about the boy while information on him was already stored in Kors's mind. He figured that Kors would have to be weakened from afar and then taken down close-quarters, without allowing him to assimilate any powers the other competitors had.
The robot felt Clarissa nudge him on the arm and so he turned to her in the middle of his analysis. Though he had no worries about Clarissa being a threat or a danger to him, his scanners got to work planning anyway. Bird couldn't stop his computer from planning his strategy against the girl - quick kill with the saber staff.
"How much longer, Bird?"
"Approximately...*chirp*...six minutes, twenty-eight seconds, thirty-"
"Where...Where do you think we're going?"
Bird turned his attention to the ground below them, utilizing his X-Ray vision to see beneath the ground. The teleportation pads beneath them were gradually becoming more active, but there was no way for him to trace where it would take them. He looked back to Clarissa and shook his head. "I cannot...*chirp*...tell."
His scanners got to work analyzing the contestants again. This time he looked to Red and Raul who were off to the side talking to one another. Bird did not want to intrude on their conversation, and so he lowered his hearing capacity to levels which could not pick up their words. Instead he focused on planning against them.
They both wielded swords, but neither seemed like major threats. Bird had his saberstaff to fight them off, and even if they were more skilled with their blades than he was his staff, the suit beneath his plating would not be damaged by them other than a few scratches; it was far too durable. However, they still had long-range options with their abilities to manipulate water, fire, and electricity, so he could not simply rely on fighting from a distance. He could sense no real threats from them at this point either, but who knew what else they had at their disposal?
Before Bird could get to work planning against the remaining competitors, his timer began to count down the final fifteen seconds. He placed his hand on Clarissa's arm and told her to get ready for the teleportation.
10....9....8...
Bird looked once more at all of the competitors, each beginning to move in anticipation at hearing what Bird had said. The teleportation pads beneath them were starting to whir to the point that all of them could hear them at work.
7....6....5....
Bird tried one more time to analyze where they were going, but the teleportation pads gave no indication as to where they would be going. They began to glow a faint light blue, the area of effect quickly spreading outwards.
4...3....
The entire arena was now covered in the blue light, surprising most of the competitors. Bird suddenly shot his eyes to the sky, where the light was beginning to break into tiny particles.
"We're...*click*....going into space..."
2....1....
