News and stuff - 07/02/2012

It's been a long time since I've made an update for this site, so I think we better do so for anyone wondering what's happening to this site, why it's not being updated often, etc. First of all, I do want everyone to know that I'm still here (if you're in the forums, you'll know that).

There has been a lot going on with my life and unfortunately it's interrupted my time with this site. However, the good news is that 'that stuff' is near completion and I'll soon be able to jump back on this and do a lot of work on it. As some of you know, I've been working on a project, developing a game. This week, we're submitting a request to Steam with it in hopes that it gets accepted. We're also looking at other places to publish the game if Steam fails, so it will definitely be ready soon.

On a side note, I've been doing a lot of studying in regards to C#, C++, UDK, and Astrophotography. Not to mention I'm currently a part-time employee and going to be a full-time student soon. Juggling all these things at once can be very complicated, but once this current game project is complete, I'm going to be juggling this website with all of those things as well. It won't be update after update every day and every few hours, but it'll definitely be a lot more active than every few months.

Also, donations are coming to a very close deadline. We only need $30 left on the donations, and as I've mentioned, I'm trying to make this site soley surviving on donations. I want to deeply thank those members who have donated to us to keep this site going. It's those who we all need to thank for how far we've gotten.

Now, what else is there... Oh yes, the forums. I've done very little work on those, just like this website here. It requires the knowledge of PHP which I frankly have little of. It's just another language I'll need to add to my list of need-to-knows. Once I get that under the belt, members of the forums can expect to see a LOT of cool things going on (I hope). Once I get work going on this site again, the forums will probably be the first place to start doing updates on for the minor requests members have voted for and that I know I can implement (e.g. spoiler tags). Once I've got that work out of the way, I'll jump back into getting Legaia 2 updated and working on those as much as I can.

If you're not part of the forums already, I highly recommend it. We have a small community, yet very friendly. There are indeed rules to follow to keep it maintained, but don't let that stress you out. They shouldn't be hard to follow and you'll get rewards in the forums for posting, making threads, playing the lottery, and even donating to the website. One of these days, I'm hoping to get bigger prizes going on, but that'll be another story!

Yay, an update! It'll be good to have you back on a more frequent basis. I look forward to the new work on the site!
