Watched an awful movie last night...

It's called Spliced (not to be confused with Splice, which I liked). It was a terrible slasher flick. It would have been so much better (but still quite bad) if the killer had actually been a mythical spirit thingy. I know characters in horror flicks always do stupid things but...man, this one took the cake. Almost nothing they did or said made any kind of sense. Avoid at all costs. Or watch it with friends while drinking heavily...that could be fun.

Heavy drinking is the only way to enjoy a bad horror film.

Any examples of what the witless victims did that was so... nonsensical?
Is Rubber good or bad? Or so bad it's good? Been meaning to watch that, the trailer looked like a laugh at least.

Lol, Rubber sounds hilarious. A killer tire right?
And yes, I agree. Horror movies need to realize that they don't need to make every character completely unrealistic.

Well then they'd actually be scary, and where's the fun in that?

The thing that made 'Spliced' so bad was that it was kinda like an episode of Scooby-Doo, and not in a good way. Hard to explain really...it just really sucked.

No, lol. It was like...they built it up with all these 'supernatural' elements going on and then the killer ends up being this nerdy (and kinda 'special') guy. And then gives no real explanation for wtf the deal was with the 'supernatural' parts!
