So how does what we've already mentioned establish Superman as being "annoyingly OP" while Batman is not?

You're basically saying it's okay for Batman to be a regular human ("peak" human, tho he has feats that are above human potential) who is so smart, so brilliant and so in control mentally that he should be the head honcho of a group comprised of a goddess, the strongest being on Earth, the strongest being on Earth's Martian counterpart, the scientist with access to the ridiculously strong Speed Force, and a member of the police force of the galaxy (or universe w/e they are).

Superman gets a lot of criticism nowadays because of what he used to always be - the pinnacle of superheroes. The guy who stood for justice and doing the right thing. The guy who could do anything and pull off any victory, no matter the odds. And people used to love him for that. They would support Superman til the end, never complaining.

That is exactly what Batman is today. The pinnacle of superheroes. The guy who stands for justice and doing the right thing. The guy who can do anything and pull off any victory, no matter the odds. People love him for that. They will support Batman til the end, never complaining.

And you're obviously a huge fan of Superboy Prime. He's ridiculously powerful as well. How come he's not "annoyingly OP?" He has the feats and the stories to back up that he beats the other characters.

And I don't have a problem. I don't find any of them to be OP at all. But I was arguing against your claim that Superman was.

And I already did blame the writers for some of my complaints.

Silver Surfer whoops all these goobers anyway.

They need a Superboy Prime movie. Or at least doomsday.

Who was the main antagonist for Man of Steel?

And SBP isn't boring, that's why. My claim for Soupermin was that he was boringly (and annoyingly) OP. SBP is completely OP without any of that boring crap.

Dude was seriously dangerous and homicidal. He killed (iirc) a million or so heroes from different Earths. He has nearly no known weaknesses (except exposure to the Red Sun, which affects him twice as badly). One quote from him is:
Superboy Prime wrote:"I will KILL YOU! I WILL KILL YOU UNTIL YOU DIE!"
...
That's the type of goober that forces me to have nerdgasms.
it really do be like that tho

It was Zod.

Go watch Man of Steel. It was unbelievably awesome.

And how is Superman boring?

I can't really argue against this because this has to do with taste and whatnot, but I don't think he's boring at all. The fact that he is this extremely powerful and heroic being that can't save everyone and everything is the biggest reason that he's interesting to me. That and when he gets serious, he is ridiculously awesome.

Thing is, his "serious" moments make it seem like he has no limits. It's like having Vegeta and Goku merge into SSJ 4 Gogeta every episode of the DB series; only to have him beat the enemy with new power/strength he's never bothered showing before.

Superman can be cool at times, but he's too Super imo. But there's nothing wrong with that because I don't care and SBP>>>>>>>>> a million and 140 times over. And over. And over.
it really do be like that tho

He has limits. But the whole point of him is that he is the most dangerous singular force on Earth. And it's still not enough. But that's probably just the appeal that superheroes have to me - the life lessons and the ideals and heroism.

If you think Superman is boring based on your exposure to him so far (I'm guessing a few comics, the Wiki, word-of-mouth, and animated shows), then give Man of Steel a shot. It's a different take on him. It's like Smallville - he's young, and gets his start as Superman. Plus he's still new to the mantle. The fight scenes are awesome and he does incredible stuff, but it isn't major galactic-level stuff. I bet you'll like it.

I will have to wait until it comes out for DVD or something.

No. SBP destroyed the whole Kryptonian family in 1 go (Superman, Supergirl, Superboy was already killed I think, Powergirl might have been in that scrap too).

Shaddup.

He has no swag.

There is a lack of Avengers talk on here. You've seen it right?

Wasn't it just glorious?
