Idk about the rest of you, but I can't get enough of the fact that this game is finally being worked on...

Any chance they'll be making it for 360? I really don't want an X1 due to lack of backwards compatability...

I always thought Doom was one of those franchises where there are about thirty different games, and they do every single thing except advance in numerical sequel order.

Sort of the way that there are some fifteen different Street Fighter 2 spinoffs. Or is my understanding of this franchise's games incorrect?
Do not question yourself with the why or the how. I simply am, and that is all you need to know.

I really don't think there have been more than four (maybe five) Doom games, unless you count re-releases of the same game to newer systems.

Well, there's really only 3 games. Each game had their own expansion packs though, mostly for more levels.

The first two games were just level-by-level without any solid story line (although there WAS one). The third one had LOTS of story to it and was a horror game.

As for the console version, I don't care lol. Doom has always been a PC game for me so I couldn't care less if they made a console version ;P

I had no idea the was a story in Doom 1 and 2.

Also, Doom 3 for the Xbox was awesome.
