Final Fantasy (and any other RPGs) Topic!
Since pretty much everybody here likes RPGs AFAIK, I figured we've all played a couple FF titles, or other RPGs.
So....talk about FF and other RPGs
My favorite mainline FF is VI, then X, then IV
My favorite spin-off FF is Tactics, then Dissidia

I like 9,10.... Didn't really get a chance to fully endulge myself with the rest...
it really do be like that tho
Re: Final Fantasy (and any other RPGs) Topic!
I've played almost all of the mainline ones:
I) It was okay. Only played the GBA version. Kinda boring. 3/5
II) Never played
III) One of my least favorite ones. Boring characters. Played the DS version. 1/5
IV) One of my favorites. Great all around. Played the SNES version, beat the DS version. 4/5
V) This one wasn't bad, it was just between IV and VI, which are the best. Nothing standout. 3/5
VI) My favorite one, and one of my favorite games ever. Everything is extremely well done. 5/5
VII) Another good one. The game, though, was pretty ugly. Everything else was solid. 4/5
VIII) Not one of my favorites, though Triple Triad hooked me for days. 3/5
IX) One of the best. The character designs were a bit ugly though. 4/5
Second favorite. Everything was polished, but the cutscenes got annoying. 5/5
XI) Never played
XII) Good game, just thought the characters were a little boring. 4/5
XIII) This shouldn't have been called a FF game tbh. But the graphics are GORGEOUS. 2/5

I like RPG's, but the only FF game I 'enjoy' is tactics. I don't play any of the numerical versions...

My favourite will always be IX. I think it was the first FF I properly understood the fighting system of. Materia in VII and drawing magic/GFs in VIII seriously confused me when I was younger, but IX I got along with (though that could have been down to being older/playing prior FF's, who knows). I find the designs and look really appealing, though could have pulled from Amano's concepts a bit more in my opinion.
I generally enjoy VII - X at any rate. Not too familiar with the games before then, and after well.. just.. really not my thing. Enjoyed fighting on Dissidia but the voice acting and the writing... hrmm. I think Enix are a bit hit-and-miss with their voice acting choices.

Yeah they've been doing pretty badly with FF lately. FFXIII and XIII-2 for one
XIV for another
Not giving US Type-O for a third
FFvsXIII for a fourth
Ugh

Doing well aren't they.
I think I got a little excited about versusXIII for a while but the trailer I saw came out what... 3 years ago? And they've only shown a smidge of gameplay. I didn't even realise we weren't getting Type-O!
I'm just gutted in general about the direction FF's been taking lately, but it still seems to be selling pretty well regardless unless I'm mistaken. I still keep an eye on the franchise out of hopefulness, but haven't forked out for a game since X-2 (excluding Dissidia).

Do you guys suggest me buying dissidia?
Or tactics?
I'm not sure if it's worth buying...

Re: Final Fantasy (and any other RPGs) Topic!
Tactics is a definite yes. Great characters, fun gameplay, lots of freedom, good story
Dissidia....only if you're interested. If you don't know who the characters are (which it seems like you don't) or you don't like the battle system, you're not gonna enjoy it
