Your meaning of awesome or mines?
it really do be like that tho
Re: Anybody else "drifting away" from games lately?
I played everyone of those games and I didn't like them. (Excluding assassins creed 2, but I was talking about RPGS specifically. S:Soren Highwind wrote:Oh? You must have missed this list, then.Jknucklez wrote:This^
I can't tell you how many times I thought about selling my ps3/xbox360 because they don't make good games like they used too.
Granted, I haven't played all of those games, but I've at least heard good things about them. Good games are still being made, man! You just have to look a little harder, is all.MJZuproc_II wrote:Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of great games from 2009 and beyond:
Assassin's Creed II
Uncharted 2
Street Fighter IV
inFamous
Blazblue: Continuum Shift
Mortal Kombat
Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective
Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3
Infinity Blade II
King of Fighters XIII
Batman: Arkham City
Portal 2
Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2
Demon's Souls
Dark Souls
Borderlands
Bayonetta
Vanquish
And recently, the SSS XENOBLADE
And quite a few more
Nier is a recent RPG that's pretty great - great plot, fun gameplay, great voice-acting, freaking fantastic soundtrack. There's also Resonance of Fate, which is quite excellent! (Though its soundtrack is quite different from Nier's.) I haven't played them myself, but I'm told that the Shin Megami Tensei series is worth looking into. There's also Okami, which isn't really an RPG but still totally worth playing. If you go farther back, there's the first three Wild ARMs games (haven't played 4 or 5 so I can't speak for their quality), and the Shadow Hearts series is also pretty good from what I hear. Those are what I can think of off the top of my head.Jknucklez wrote:Also, where the the the the the are all the good RPG's at? I am tired of seeing the FF series. To be honest, I never liked it...
Again, there are still good RPGs. You just have to look a little harder, is all.
Where are the sudokens at? Where are the Arc the lads? (even though the story line was shyt) Where are the star oceans? (A new hope was poop, except for graphics) Where are the disagea's? (I proly spelled that wrong lol). But yeah, it's either they aren't making great RPGs anymore or I just live or look for nostalgia more then I should in newer video games.
Edit: I did like eternal sonata but I never actually brought it. Fail on my behalf.
Edit: I never played Xenoblades so exclude that as well. It sounds kind of cool actually.
Re: Anybody else "drifting away" from games lately?
Xenoblade is definitely awesome. 5/5 for sure
The JRPG scene has moved to handhelds really. FFT: War of the Lions, Tactics Ogre, and Radiant Historia are great games

Nah, it's understandable; the battle system is pretty fun and the music and graphics are good, but everything else is so-so. I don't like it nearly as much as I used to, but I'll still say it's worth playing at least once. If you ever reconsider, try getting the PS3 version; there's a couple new characters, a new bonus dungeon, and the plot makes a lot more sense than in the Xbox 360 version.K73SK wrote:I tried eternal sonata demo...
