uhhh; although your correct in some aspect, heres where your wrong (and ill make it brief cuz its 2:12 am here...):Soren Highwind wrote:...You're kidding, right?
So... yeah, still don't agree with your assessment.
well start with sands of time-
-In this game; it offers farah as an AI character; so already thats backup in battle. and if you know what your doing, then you can avoid farah entering a battle and still have her attack enemies...
-your offered the most powerful attack that the dagger of time can give; a full stop of time...
-the battle system is so unique and complicated that this game forces you to indulge into battles....
-There are other types of controls, like the ability to freeze enemies in space while you handle all the other enemies (and there are crap loads)...
-the ablility to slow time
- and 3-4 sword upgrades
as for The 2 Thrones
-you get the dark prince, who is much more stronger than the prince alone...
-you get the eye of the storm, which blows away enemies and more..
-you get an epic boss fight at the end
-the other bosses kick butt!
-the speed kill system is amazing! it saves alot of time..
-the monsters do work in teams
-and the puzzles combined with the constant fights and the random dark prince appearance makes the game fun! as opposed to forgotten sand; where everything is handed to you on a silver plate...
i rest my case...
it really do be like that tho

*sigh*
Farah can help out if she lands hits with her arrows, true, but she's also dumb and likes to stand in one place or randomly wander around not doing anything, and if she dies it's an automatic game-over. She's kind of more a hindrance than a help, really!redhollowlives999 wrote:-In this game; it offers farah as an AI character; so already thats backup in battle. and if you know what your doing, then you can avoid farah entering a battle and still have her attack enemies...
For pete's sake, Forgotten Sands is not about time powers, 野菜*. I've been over this, but the elemental powers you get already cover all the bases that the time powers did in the previous games. And as for the sword upgrades, you can totally upgrade your attack power in Forgotten Sands. Relatively quickly, too!redhollowlives999 wrote:-your offered the most powerful attack that the dagger of time can give; a full stop of time...

Would you mind backing this up? How is it complicated? You fight dudes, and you can use acrobatic moves to help fight dudes, or use time powers to make fighting dudes easier.redhollowlives999 wrote:-the battle system is so unique and complicated that this game forces you to indulge into battles....
Yes, but your health also drains constantly, and if it runs out you die. The point of the Dark Prince sections was to get through them as fast as possible before your life-force is drained away.redhollowlives999 wrote:as for The 2 Thrones:

Again, would you mind backing this up? Stating an opinion and then not using any kind of argument to support that opinion isn't going to win anyone over!redhollowlives999 wrote:-you get the eye of the storm, which blows away enemies and more..

Speed kills are cool, yes, but they also fit with the theme of the game. The Prince is trying to find the Vizier as quickly as possible, and does his best to avoid enemies he doesn't have the time to deal with, hence the stealth kills. Forgotten Sands isn't really stealthy, what with the mobs of dudes you fight, so stealth kills would've been out of place.redhollowlives999 wrote:-the speed kill system is amazing! it saves alot of time..
...yeah? They do in the other games, too, Forgotten Sands included.redhollowlives999 wrote:-the monsters do work in teams
That's just bullshit. I'm starting to think we didn't even play the same game. At what point is something in Forgotten Sands "handed to you on a silver plate"?redhollowlives999 wrote:-and the puzzles combined with the constant fights and the random dark prince appearance makes the game fun! as opposed to forgotten sand; where everything is handed to you on a silver plate...
You're not doing a terribly good job of convincing me of your opinions. Not liking a game as much as its predecessor is totally fine! But it would help if you gave well-thought-out reasons for them.redhollowlives999 wrote:i rest my case...
In terms of combat? Yes. In terms of platforming? Not really.MJZuproc_II wrote:well Devil May Cry >>>>> Prince of Persia

Should probably make a DMC vs. POP thread instead of putting all that here. Mostly because this is about us drifting away from games in general, not arguing about what games are better lol.
