PS4 & Xbox One

XBox One - Took a page from HTC I'm guess, but it's the one console you will need.

Yeah I thought this was what it was. Like it was your one-stop crap box for games and TV and movies and video chatting and w/e else people with money do with their electronics.

I have...absolutely no interest in either system tbh. I mean, there hasn't really been any footage or announcements for tons of games that I'm dying to see (I'm sure that'll come soon enough).

If I HAD to choose, I'd go for PS4. Been hearing a LOT of crap about the Xbox, and I'm already a loyal PS fanboy as it is. As far as games go, it at least has inFAMOUS: Second Son.

In general, though, I don't really care for gaming right now. The new stuff anyway. I'm way too broke to keep up.

As for games, I'm excited for God of War, infamous 2, ff15 (just so then I can complain about it with experience), for any future ff games, in case they end up making LoD 2. Also, I'm getting it because I'm a PS fan, aaaaaaaaaand cuz I freakin hate Xbox. Also, I agree about why the Xbox One is called that. Still a really douche thing considering they claimed that Xbox 360 would be the only game console you would ever need. I'm just excited to see this blow up in Microsoft's face.

Well, Xbox One is basically the Xbox 360 but with an upgrade to the hardware... The same can be said about the PS4 (except where they decided to implement the 3D camera idea Microsoft created). Unfortunately, from what I've read, it's not going to be as powerful as the Kinect has to offer. But this should be expected considering it's their first one and this will be the second one Microsoft will make.

Yeah, but I really have no interest in the kinect or the eye because I like original gaming, screw motion gaming. But, it does open up some pathsthat games can take. Like, minor mechanics using the camera, thats all cool and that is what the eye CAN do. But 質 like Just Dance, I have no interest in and kinda hate it. Why buy a game when you can turn on the radio and dance your self?

I was the same way until I actually tried it. I thought the game would be dumb, but my friend has a kinect and wanted me to try it out... So I did, and it's honestly extremely fun. It's not just dancing, but trying to match the dancing motions of the characters on the screen. Also, some of those family games that require things like jumping, moving your body a certain way, etc. to get through levels is extremely fun once you actually try it out.

I don't have a family, I'm lazy, and I'm a 質 dancer. Also, one of the largest reasons why I hate the kinect is they are trying to make cool games with it but failing. Have you seen Dragonball Z Kinect? Awesome concept and idea, but done so terribly that it has ended all of my hopes for it to be good. Also, as a microsoft tradition I guess, (I have heard this from two friends so not sure just how true it is) the kinect is insanely delicate. Drop it once and it will break some how and the repairs are not cheap. But once again not sure how true that actually is so... Anyway I guess I'm afraid that gaming is going in the direction I don't want it to go.

Think of it like this. I love the DS because it allows you to do some cool stuff. Like in pokemon how the game is one the top screen and the menu is on the bottom allowing you to do some cool menu stuff without disturbing the game. Also, allowed you do cool extras, like in the DS ff4 remake, you can draw a face on Rydia's little summon dude. BUT!!! None of those games actually depended on you to use the touch screen, so, if you felt lazy, u didn't have to use it. If the Eye does what the DS did then I will be a happy camper, but if it makes you have to use the motion controls to play most of the games, then Imma be pissed.

Also wanna add that I'm PRAYING that the ps4 will eventually get some kind of backward compatibility... When I go to college, I'm only going to bring my ps4 so I would like to be able to play some of my older games too.

I can't vouch or argue the delicacy of the Kinect as I don't own one. I can only vouch for its technology and what I've personally experienced with it.

As for the games, it's not entirely Microsoft to blame... Very little, actually. Microsoft only accepts games onto their console if they think it'll make money (and is considered a AAA game). The people who developed the games, such as the DBZ Kinect, are the ones to blame. Microsoft *usually* works only as a publisher for a lot of these games, not developer. If you want to complain to someone, complain to the developers and their lack of understanding on what to do with the game and the Kinect.

You're telling me not a single game on the DS required the touch screen? I don't see a reason why not... Same goes for the Eye... If they want to make games dedicated just to the Eye, then by all means they should do it.

I didn't mean it like that, I mean games from older generations didn't try to make the touch screen the only way to play it. I guess it is just difficult for me to explain.

I own a Kinect. It sucks.
Only people who enjoy it are the females of the family, and that's because of that Dancing game.

I don't like the 360.

Or the PS3. Both can rot in a pile of the feces of the men who created them. PS2 4ever.

The gaming industry needs to learn... I would have still given them a chance if they did something new every 10 years. That's enough time for a new system. In fact, the systems we have now would be better if they gave themselves a few more years to modify them.

One of the major themes next gen is sharing your stuff. Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft assuming that we have friends and what not, jokes on them!

PS4 has the touchpad on the controller now, but doubtful that it'll change much.

Last great console name was Dreamcast.
