geeksquad is futureshop/bestbuy if i am not mistaken and they don't handle stuff like that. it's mostly just individual guys trying to make money on the side that put ads online through kijiji.com/kijiji.ca depending on where you live, or the occasional small business that does this kind of stuff.

So, Gamestop and Best Buy don't do repairs?

GameStop, no. Best Buy might, if they have some Geek Squad members there.

no best buy does not the most they can do is send it back to the manufacturer if its still under warranty. now if it was a computer that's a different story but the geeksquad was mostly set up as a in home set up service for whatever electronics, car stereos, and fixing computer problems. in fact they are not even allowed to attempt to fix any nintendo, playstation, or microsoft console (xbox), they just dont have the permission.

so if you know your 3DS is under warranty and have proof of purchase you can go to the company you bought it from and ask them to ship it off for repairs, it could be another option but that can take about a month to come full circle and doesn't alwase come back fixed.

They can't fix game systems? That's too bad. Well, you could send it to Nintendo, but they'll likely overcharge you. My Wii's disk drive stopped reading disks a year or two ago. They said they would fix it for $80. I could just buy one now for $100 or less...
