Let's talk about user names!

How did you decide your user name or where did it come from?
Is it from anything?
Any regrets?

When I first used this name on another site years ago, originally I was going for IronFist (as in the Marvel superhero), but it was taken. So I found this iteration.

Where did yours come from Van?

Mine came from uh, just cheese rolls 'cause I'm eating a lot of it when I was new to the site. If I could change it again, it would be Phenelo but can't change it 'cause I may not be recognized by everybody. :3

Played Quake 3 a long time ago and decided to be named after the bot "Klesk" in order to confuse people who played the game... They always thought they were battling a bot until they realized the ping wasn't zero.

Stuck with it for awhile and then joined a clan that wanted to change my name to a certain color order and also change the letters to capital + a few "leet" letters. So it became K73SK... Been with that name for ~7 years (since 2006).

It all makes sense K. I never thought to look for leetspeak in your name, lol.

I wasn't very social back in high school. In my 11th grade year I joined the Air Force JROTC class and after a while my fellow classmates from that class started calling me 'lone wolf' and 'lone ranger'. I liked 'lone wolf' better.

I too had no idea K7's name was leetspeak. Always thought it had some super secret deep meaning. Each character with a different meaning.

My first user name was darkernegator back in 2002 or whatever, after my favorite MTG card the Phyrexian Negator. I actually used it for quite a while until a couple years ago. Went with variations of vannexcel or vansolo. And spoiler alert: Van is my first name.

I've had more usernames than I'm proud to admit >_____>

First one was MJZuproc. It's basically my initials, then my last name backwards. Thazz also where "Zup" comes from cuz iunno I like it better.

Then I had others that were temporary and I didn't care about em. Usually were just plays off of the names of stuff (characters mostly) that I like.

One I use now is Mr. Mako or Mako Jay or mistermakojay. I stole the Mr. M___ idea from Dr. Dre, which is where my middle name (Jre) comes from.

Hope he doesn't mind.

*Sigh* Well:

I use to have random usernames. My more common ones were Spidey3000, Spideyoftheyear- you get the idea.

Then I noticed my friend (Tro)'s username on Youtube was GreyHallow31. Thought it was really cool and decided to make my own variation of it.

So I took my favorite color (which is Blood Red) and accidentally used Hollow instead of Hallow (I originally read Hollow instead of Hallow because I'm dumb). And thus Redhollow was born. Then I saw the error I made with the hallow, but didn't care. It reminded me of Bleach, and thus I deemed it worthy.

A bit later I decided I needed a number to go with my name. 999 looked really cool to me, so I picked that.

Finally, I wasn't content with Redhollow999. Felt incomplete so I either removed the 999 or tried to find something to add to it; which ended up lives. I picked lives because I think it creates a story to go with my username.

"A Red Hollow... Rare... thought to be dead, it actually lives." Or "A fiery prince, once thought vanquished, still lives."

I'm not sure how many people ended up getting that story since I never bothered explaining it until now... But OH WELL.

After validating that it was completely original (meaning no one on the internet had said name) I started to officially use Redhollow (sometimes with the lives999) as my username.

So far the closest I've seen is RedHaven and RedHallow. Which is annoyingly close. But I have yet to see Redhollow.
