My round trip was 2200 miles exactly on the odometer. Mostly because I stopped in Illinois and then we had to drive 2 hours out to Hopkinsville, KY since they were calling for rain where we were camping at. But well worth every mile and dollar and I'd do it again

Unfortunately, I didn't exactly have a wealth of time or money at the moment. Those will both likely be in better supply 6.5 and 28 years from now.

Luckily I won't need much for the next eclipse. It comes right through the town my grandparents live out. Just a little money to drive out to their place (about 60 miles) and back.

The one in 28 years will go right through where my parents live. The one in 2024 won't be too far from that (I'd have to take a three-hour drive or so from there).

The better question is, of course, where will I be living this time next year.

Good question. I did plan on moving up to Plano (near Dallas) next year, so chances are I'd have to drive down here for the next one if I'm still up there lol.

That's how I feel most of the time. I login, see no posts, run away. /shrug Maybe I should just start posting random crap that happen in my life here to talk to others. I mean, why not?
