My game time is ridiculously long, but that's only because I've been taking screenshots, typing information, etc. from the game. Lord knows how long my gametime is and I haven't even finished the main site's Legaia 2 sections lol.

I know it's possible to finish the game in under 6 hours. There are a few small timesaves throughout the run.
Do not question yourself with the why or the how. I simply am, and that is all you need to know.

How much time does crafting take (since I'm assuming crafting the most decent weapons ASAP is key to moving through places quickly).

We don't do a lot of crafting, actually. There's some crafting in Darakin 1 for money, in Darakin 2 to get a Banshee Bangle and Power Necklace, and then we do a little crafting after Drokonia, mostly for Invincibility Pills, which we need for the endgame.

Invincibility Pills totally break the game tho.


Speaking of which, this is a good time to address the fact that Legaia 2 had way too many consumable items....

Dude it definitely did. I don't even know what half the crap I had did. I think that was one of the big headaches for me making the site too (on Legaia 2's side). I was always like "OMFG ANOTHER ITEM, UGHHHH" lol.
