Casual means that it's an RP that anyone could come in and post during like Lunch break or whatever time people have in their days.

Doesn't sound... fun. Really it sounds like something you do to kill 5 minutes. That's what my iPod is for.

Short posts is all I mean with the Casual
As for Plot, that's something that the players can figure out, kinda like Furanda. People put thoughts of plots in their posts and it materialized into DV being evil.

Because it got boring. You can't seriously expect a story about nothing to STAY as a story about nothing.

So pretty much vote for something here, or suggest a new idea. You posting stuff you don't wanna do isn't as helpful

Hey do you guys wanna make THIS the new ABU? Like as a method of developing the characters we want, then transferring them. Meanwhile this RP can be something casual like "How users would use bending in the 21st century?" sort of theme. [Note I'm talking to Ram and Zup.]

Actually, Furanda lasted for a long time so figuring out the plot and progressively changing things made it go good (which I honestly didn't expect in the first place at all). I think if we do the same idea, but with shorter posts, it'll outlive any of the rpg's we have on the boards now. AKA: Not only me, but others will actually be willing to read them all in one sitting and contribute to their own posts.

There is nothing wrong with Ram's lunchbox-size role play. It in fact would probably get more activity than any long ones that have to wait until you have a free hour to devote to it.

We could always just let Ram start us off and we take turns writing the next part of the story. We'll get some poor guy that we will take turns tormenting with our random, off handed plot twists.

I type at like... at max 60 wpm, and on average like 30-40. I can type that all up sooner. Those posts aren't that long- you guys are just afraid to try. >:P

Dolor posts take like 25-45 minutes to write (about the length of 1 lunch break) if you actually plan stuff out instead of doing it on the blue. I'd rather this than one that can be written in 3 minutes. >____>

It took me like three minutes to think/type THIS MUCH. And I'm multitasking. Imagine an RP like that. It would take like 3 posts to explain how a character walked out a door.

I cannot promise "short" posts. My posts are notorious for being long to people.

Well, it's a casual RP, so I don't think extensive knowledge about MA at all is really required. Plus, it seems like a lot of people have trouble writing long posts if there's a lot of fighting/action to describe, so...

If it really ends up going for the cheesy movie stuff, you don't really need to make your character an expert. Could be a ramen salesman who gets angry at a rude customer and just WATAAWS them.

But I still think it's gonna suffer from stretches of inactivity, and a loss of interest, especially if the setting/theme ends up being something that's difficult to continue.

Not only that, what might happen is that most people will post occasionally, then the "big RPers" will start to get into it, then keep it going so far that everyone else falls behind anyway.



Maybe just ask everyone to list what kinda thing they want outta this, if anything. Like if they want short posts, they want it to be taken slow so nobody falls too far behind, they want a certain theme, they wanna be able to do certain things, etc.

But from the looks of it, that isn't a big issue for people. They just wanna try it.

So...just do w/e. It'll get morphed anyway. Allow for flexibility so people who don't like a certain theme don't feel left out.

Especially if it's "casual". The way I see it, Casual == Slow and uninteresting plot. Like I said, if it's the type of short I'm thinking of, it would take 3 posts to simply leave the house.

Well really it's just you and me. And I think I'm out of this one. Looks like it'll lack and fail within a month. Plus I have standards when writing- this story limits my already self limited powers. I like to keep like 1000 words or so for my RP posts and I have a 6 page minimum for my other writing stuff. Any shorter is just wrong. Considering I've written 12 page chapters that only take 4 minutes to read. >___>

I think all they want are short posts. Which still makes no sense to me. Unless you know some big words, not alot can happen in a few lines.

I suggested it because 1) It's something we haven't done before and 2) I'm writing something similar to it so I wanted to test out characters with it

Plus none of the poll options so far seem inherently interesting (they'd all have to be MADE interesting via player activity), so I just spat something out.

I'd be okay with the Avengers thing too. I mean, Red and I are already writing something similar but I could try a new angle. Could we use more than just the movie Avengers, tho? I wanna be Nova >__<

Or I guess alternatively you could spin it for that more flexibility/creativity thing. Maybe use the Convergence idea that went nowhere and let everyone get superpowers. Ehhhhhh.
