Here's the setup:

Equipment:
-Holy Rhodis (Add Light, vs. Spirit)
-Tattered Vest (Low weight)
-Bladefists (Str Boost 1)
-Skunky Boots (Low weight, AP Attack is already on Iron Wall Badge)

Accessories:
-Beggar's Bangle w/ MP Siphon, Gold Siphon
-Vampire Symbol w/ HP Siphon
-Iron Wall Badge w/ HP Attack, AP Attack, APCD3/2
-Muscle Ribbon w/ Full Power, Favor Normal, 2x Attack Rate

Stats:
-971 STR with Atomic Heat. I could have made the better STR food, but I'll do that later. Plus I'm working on maxing my strength. Once I do that, I will cook a food that increases Art Blocks.

Target:
-Shadow Skull (Sewers). They are spirit class, and weak to light (Holy Rhodis!!!!).

Items Used
-Boost Bottle
-Dekna Potion (or Hitde, whatever the one is that decreases enemy defense)
-StrongMenWeakWalls
-Item that halves AP consumption (not sure if needed)

After all those have been used, and HP and AP are at full for Lang (use a character with Decoy if necessary), have Lang use guard and the 3rd character use a Blessing Pill on Lang.

Then use Raging Fang, Raging Fang, Raging Fang, Divine Bolt.

Has anyone beaten this?

Improvements possible: Maxing Strength, making an accessory with Str Boost 2 and HP Siphon, cooking an Art Block food so I can replace Divine Bolt with Thunder Sky.

That's basically enough to kill Stiel in like... immediately.

That was always my problem with Legaia 2; this can be accomplished by anyone who's determined enough as opposed to the predecessor which would've required cheating to the fifth power. No fun when you can murder the final boss in one combo.

Regardless, good work, I must say I'm impressed by the numbers. And I wonder how that would go with Lone's "GOD" playthroughs.

I need to actually FINISH my 'God Mode' play-through. We could crack it past 6mil but...how far past? I dunno. If you accomplish those extra steps and do it again keep us posted on the final damage.

Oh yeah, I smashed the old record. Got my STR up to 996, cooked an Art Block food.

Well that's just murder. Lol.

I noticed, surprisingly, that the attacks were doing more damage toward the end of the combo than the beginning.

I guess they used largely the same engine as the previous game to determine the damage output.

That is precisely why Raging Fang is the best art when you have 2x Attack Rate. The damage builds up so much from the consecutive hits that Raging Fang ends up far outdamaging Sleeping Dragon.

I think you can do better still if you have an accessory with Kamikaze equipped (Sacrifice DEF to boost ATK). I noticed that that was missing, but maybe you just can't get it to the right accessory?

There are two reasons why I'm not using kamikaze:

1) It would be difficult to get it onto a good accessory, like you said.
2) I don't actually think STR beyond 999 matters. Cooking food that would bring my STR way beyond 999 doesn't seem to make an appreciable difference. So while kamikaze would boost my STR, my native STR (after STR Boost 1 & 2 from other equipment) is already 996. HOWEVER, maybe kamikaze is able to break this limit. I'll have to test that when I get a chance.

I definitely think you are on the right track; I only have 890 strength, and I was missing some of the appropriate skills, but I was able to get a damage output of slightly more than 3 million. I think the extra hundred strength would let me get significantly higher damage as well.

Is there a reason to prefer Divine Bolt over Roaring Fang, though? It always seemed to me like Roaring Fang does slightly more damage.
