For anyone who is interested in earning a lot of money at the start of Legaia 2, there's a trick that can get you 89,000 G before you even leave Nohl for the first time (before Hunter's Wood). And this isn't a glitch either, just an exploit that I've never seen anyone mention before.

All you have to do is go to the medicine & items shop (Mallory's) and make 100 transactions. Buying 100 items isn't sufficient - they have to be individual transactions (as in, you make a purchase or sell an item and money changes hands), and they can either be you buying items or you selling items - either counts.

When you make 1 transaction, you get the Pedometer. The items for 5 and 10 transactions are nothing special. However, 20 (25?) transactions gets you a Revival Bottle, which sells for 4000, 50 gets you a piece of furniture which sells for 10,000, and 100 total transactions gets you another piece of furniture which sells for 75,000. That's more than enough money that you can use the Point Card to instantly kill Gather Crab and Elfin, as well as have some left over for Balken.

Interesting. If I ever decide to replay the game, I'll definitely try this out. How long do you think this would take?

You can do all this and have the items within 5-6 minutes from selecting 'New Game'

Does this work if you go back to Nohl?

Do you have to stop talking and then talk to them again between each transaction, or can you just keep clicking "buy" with 1x over and over again?

The latter. 100 total transactions of money changing hands. You don't have to fully leave and re-enter the shop menu to get the items.
