For anyone that doesn't know, playing the game on a PS3 causes the game to crash during the time travel sequence in Conkram. A lot of people on Gamefaqs have complained about it, so I thought I would post it here. There doesn't seem to be any fix for the problem at this time other than transferring save files. The problem seems to affect all PS3s. I believe I heard that somebody managed to finish the game on the PS3 model that came in the Metal Gear Solid 4 bundle, but I'm not certain about that.

I might as well sticky this since many people still have yet to know about the problems...And plus it'll save us from making tons of threads on the issue, assuming people have them.

Would an emulator play a Legaia disc?

Yes it will. I have an iso file for the first game to use in my emulator - which works fantastic and the ps2 emulator reads my undub legaia 2 disk perfectly fine. I actually prefer playing it on the computer just because it's easier to get the screenshots rather than having to purchase a TV Tuner or anything. My computer gets 60fps 90% of the time on legaia 2 - so all is good for me

I read the gamefaqs complaints and have been stuck without my Legaia fix for a while now. Don't own a PS or a PS2 anymore.

Your disc should be fine, the PS3 wasn't originally intended to read PS games so when they made some with that capability it's only natural that they would initially have bugs. None of the systems out there were released without having their fair share of problems early on unfortunately.
