I think its weird how in the lappis boss fight, you can kill it instantly with jedo useing a certen glitch. that and where did lappis even come from? for some reson, it just pops up like "hey ima secret boss that is stronger than the final boss!" why is that?

It's probably there to give you something to do after you beat the game. Endgame content is always nice.
As for the glitch... I dunno. Bad programming, I guess. Berserker has the same problem, as you can insta-kill him with Nighto and a little luck.

How do you use Jedo if he drains your MP the moment you get it back?

You have to use the Spikefish flute trick. I don't remember the exact details buuuut:
- You need to encounter Lapis.
- Use the Spike flute thing to escape (because it IS an optional battle, after all).
- Then you have to come back into the battle with the MP still drained (that'll stop'em from using his wave again). Make sure to have some speed chains, that blocking-boost chain, and one character with a slow chain or whatever, which I think are a vital ingredient to this mudpie (the first two can have speed chains to, say revive the fighter who's using Jedo if Lapis kills said character and the slow chain to restore said person's MP after Lapis attacks, as to avoid it using Lapis wave right on the spot. The blocking chain is basically the only way to ensure Lapis doesn't KO said fighter after one turn). So, say Gala is using Jedo, the turns should go like: Noa (sit there and look pretty)>Gala (pose)>Lapis>Vahn(restore MP), then Noa (distract Lapis with your misshapen body)>Gala (use Jedo magic) and that's that.
- Sit there and question life.
As you can probably already tell, the method is highly unpopular because it takes away the joy of fighting such a tough opponent. But it's good for Speed Runs, when you just want the item you receive.
I'm not sure if that's the exact method, since I've never done it, but I know that's the idea.

That's pretty much it; however, you don't strictly need to use the Spikefish flute - you can escape normally, but there's a chance of failure if you do so the "normal" way.

You gotta use Jedo in the same turn that you use the Magic Fruit.

You gotta use Jedo in the same turn that you use the Magic Fruit.
You can also use Jedo the immediately following turn, provided you also have the Speed Chain on that character. Just so long as you can cast the Jedo spell before Lapis gets a turn.
