I have made a video that will hopefully help people with their fishing technique. I really hope it helps some of you(all of you). My audio wasn't working so my commentary is in the description.

Lol. I knew you'd make a little fishing guide! After all no one else here has caught the spirit fish without cheating.

Would be great to see other people upload and share some fishing videos. I notice that Youtube is quite lacking in Legaia fishing videos. I personally think it's one of the best minigames ever and it's definitely the best fishing game/minigame that I have played.

The problem is that not many people play Legaia, and only a few of those people actually like the fishing game!

As for best fishing mini-game, I prefer fishing in Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.

That's one thing that's extremely rare in fact one of a kind about this game. I'm pretty sure all the minigames are at least bearable if not enjoyable...Now FFX....I am not dodging 200 lightning bolts again...After my difficulty getting 0.00 in the chocobo race I'm not sure I want to do that again...So many games have minigames that I swear they threw in there to piss people off. Legaia did a great job on not doing that however then it went to Legaia 2 and the forsaken rice planting and monotonous dart throwing....Other people complain about the sidejumping but I usually get that pretty easily. Then the planting...it's not bad but it's not enjoyable really..They need more games that nail the minigames imo.(Oh and speaking of hard-impossible minigames- that freaking Lost Viking minigame in SC2!!!Rage!)

Haha I read that comment about 200 lightning bolts and 0:00 time in ffx and it sounds like the exact conversation my buddy and I had. We are planning to play the HD version and we were dreading doing those again.

I don't remember Lost Vikings being as hard as some of the other achievements, ugh...like the protoss hold-out mission. But yeah, Legaia did okay in the minigames but I think they could have been set a bit shorter. Eight hours of playing the slots and 12 hours of fishing is a bit much. Even though the fishing is really well done, especially for an RPG sidequest.

At least it's not like FFX-2, the whole game is stupid sidequests. "Let's forget the whole story and just play mini games yay!"

I actually loved the slots and recall many years ago a time when I played them for like 3 days straight almost all day at my grandparents. Besides it's not required to play slots you can get coins through battling also although only the master course end game is really more efficient than the slots...and if you get lucky in the slots that might not even be more efficient. Both were great minigames imo and making a slot minigame that I enjoy is a surprise..I've played the Pokemon slots, Legaia 2, and at least 1 or 2 other slot games but legaia is the only one I enjoyed.

I haven't even beat Lost Vikings for the achievement so I don't know how hard it is but I have definitely tried. Think furthest I got was to the third level. Which looking up the game that looks like the last level 'dizzy. I loved the protoss survive mission, survival missions are my favorite and SC2 kind of lacked them. HoTS didn't have a single one unless you count the protect the chrysalis mission which I really didn't. I'm pretty sure I got basically every achievement other than Lost Viking and a few in HoTs, just due to laziness. Think im 98% on WoL and like 94% on HoTs. I looked up a challenge where people do no upgrade runs on brutal WoL.....looks insane. I can't imagine the final mission without the improved siege damage/less damage to friendly units etc. I've tried doing it but I just can't let my credits and upgrades sit there...I always want to be at my full potential which is why I probably won't ever do a low level or no gear run in Legaia.

I manage to get spike fish on pond near vidna and lippian near buma.

The trick is using the right lure, and pressing the square and X with the right combination.

And you'll get the good fish at each pond (not the best one though)

Vidna = Spike Fish
Buma = Lippian

Using this technique, i manage to get water egg in 1.5 hours .... 2 hours max.

I also found the trick to get punch / kick on slot machine, and get ra seru palma in 1 hours.

No cheat used.

I'll make the video tutorial next time for you guys =)

Nice! It took me way longer than 2 hours to get the water egg. Definitely only did that on my first play through.
