In my let's play I'm doing I actually caught Viguro in the East voz. It was my first time doing so in all my history of playing this game. Has anyone else done the same? If so how many times? I feel like it must be a lower chance than normal since they're high level seru at the time you fight them.

Yup, I've caught it at one time. Although it wasn't by much luck, I just kept fighting them over and over (from the save point) until I finally got them lol. Mentioned it on my boss page for the Viguro as well.

It's not so uncommon if you get the Ivory Book in one of the Drake Castle valley crossings; I think it's the one between West Voz and Biron.

But it's fairly difficult otherwise. Sadly, it's not possible for Gala to absorb one of them; it would be excellent for the Songi 1 battles since I think even at level 1, it one-shots that boss due to elemental affinity.

I usually have someone absorb Viguro at that point. I usually give Vahn the Ivory Book before that fight.

I did use the ivory book however I redid the battle a few times; I think only like 5 so that I absorbed both of them.

I've done so once before, but I can't recall if I simply just kept trying to obtain it or if I just got it out of luck.

I tried once my first run through; they were clearly superior to me so they literally washed away my inventory of phoenixes and such.

I literally had to shoo the other away with Nighto and fight until Vahn was the only person left with his HP at red before I just Nighto'd it away too.


Keep in mind I was like 7 at the time.

From new found evidence, Viguros are absorbed at 10% rate, and 40% if you have Ivory Book on. Seems to make sense with the luck I've had with it.

Is there a way to get into the specific stats? Like, does Vahn have a higher percentage chance of absorbing it than Noa, or something like that?

As far as we know, it's just a fixed percentage which does not depend on the player, the combo used, or so forth.

Every proposed hypothesis is apparently just the result of confirmation bias
