Theory of raseru eggs
I have a theory, and I plan to test it but maybe someone else can test it before I get to it. My Gala is taking like no damage from Gilium, and I'm thinking it has to do with having him equipped with the thunder egg before it hatched( I think you might keep the lightning resistance due to a bug) Seems like I had a play through where Lapis did like 1/2 damage to one of my characters but they did not have the Light Talisman or anything equipped so I think maybe I had the Light Egg equipped when I gave it to the Jeweler for him to turn it into Light Talisman. Would be an interesting bug if my theory is correct but as soon as I test it will post my findings. Will probably have to go suicide against Lapis before and then after I equip egg and trade it for Talisman to find out.

I don't think he keeps the resistance, but he likely takes less damage for Gilium since Gala has the lightning element.

Re: Theory of raseru eggs
I agree. I think it has everything to do with the fact that Gala is already of the Thunder element and takes less damage from Gilium anyway, and not because of the Ra-Seru Egg. I notice that he takes about 1/3 the damage from Gilium attacks compared with Vahn or Noa, and I think it has to do with his natural element.
However, if you wanted to test this hypothesis, you could always play a new game where you equip the Ra-Seru Egg on Noa and see if the results change.

Do not question yourself with the why or the how. I simply am, and that is all you need to know.

Re: Theory of raseru eggs
I already got the Light and Water Talisman but I will do it with the Earth egg when I get it...eventually, then I can test against Iota maybe...will take a while to get earth egg though. Maybe I will see if I have an old save before I traded Light egg or something. Giving the egg to Noa wouldn't be impossible but would be hard, you could see what theeder lvl 2 are doing in damage to her then do the egg trick and check it after since I believe theeder are available before and after that event. Actually now that I think of it though I thought of this before I traded in Light egg so I equipped it on Vahn before trading it so in theory Lapis should do 1/2 damage now to Vahn if my theory is correct. Ill go find out if I have time, have to go to town soon.
Well he did approximately 1400 damage to both Vahn and Gala so I guess my theory was wrong, still seems weird that Gala takes so little damage from Gilium though. I should have did a no spirit test too now that I think about it but I can't imagine that would change anything.
