I caught one while playing in an emulator. Used an ISO of my LoL PS disc. I obviously didnt use gameshark. Was like after I reeled it in.

I also caught it with the emulator... not using a gameshark. But I still cheated for it lol.

I also disabled the spirit cheat and used a cheat that kept the lure from ever snapping + immediately weakens the enemy. Combine this with the emulators capabilities of no frame rate and I can catch a fish ever 5 seconds (at the most). Did this for an hour on each lure and never got a spirit... So I just personally think that's a fish that was removed after alpha testing or something. But that's just me! The guide books also don't mention Baraba, but I caught that legitimately!

If you dont mind me asking, how do you cheat with the emulator? You used the save state hack? Uhm, how? LoL. Besides being lazy to read as to how to use it, I find it confusing as well. Been fishing for a while, and 500pt/5mins is starting to make me bored.

For my legaia iso, I just got a gameshark iso

As for spirit; never heard of it.... Must be BEYOND IMPOSSIBLE if it existed......

I only recently got into fishing.... I used a gold cheat on my legaia iso to get the earth egg early in the game.....

And for my legaia disc (the one I got the other day), ive become a junior boss at fishing.... Give me a week off from school and I'll be a boss at it; then I'll be a BAU5 at it...

I could never get into the fishing minigame. I mean, when I first tried it, I sat there for like 20 minutes playing it, and it was fun, but I always left to go battle, which was the best part imo

I think i heard these rumors too... Its close to impossible to catch these i hear...

Don't feel bad for me being skeptical and all, I just don't want to post the thing on the main page if it really isn't possible to catch it without cheats. epsxe has a hack called "PEC" which can allow you to manipulate the game to get the fish. It might be like a gameshark, I'm not sure - but it's not called that so I'm assuming not.

Until I can get some real verification from Sise (since he reads through the Japanese strategy guides) or catch it myself legitimately, I kind of have to put off from paying the forum dollars for it. I'll keep this topic open in case we do find it's indeed possible. I'll try using the same lure you used at the same pond, using the speed and no tension hacks, and see what I get in time. So again, I'm not trying to sound like I'm pushing it away and saying "yeah ok whatever" I just want to be the absolute most accurate I can be on the site - I hope you understand.
