Please put some thought into if it sounds like a good idea or not!

Basically the idea is that I'd create a new group called the Donor group. They'd have ALMOST all the same benefits of a VIP except for a few things (after all, VIP's are awesome, right?). You would receive the Donor group tag for 1 month after the last donation you made. Example:

You donate 07/01/2012
You now have donor tag until 08/01/2012

You donate again 07/10/2012
Your donor tag now ends on 08/10/2012 instead

After your date ends, your group will go back to being a member. VIP's will not receive a donor group badge because they're VIP's and everyone should know that VIP's already donate to the site as it is. :)

Result: We made a donor class (a long time ago's)

I had a hard time choosing between 'yes' and 'neutral' but in the end I voted 'yes'. I can see some people being bothered by it, like someone who can't donate whether from a lack of a job or someone who doesn't want a paypal but...I can't really see any of the current regulars being troubled by it...so, why not?

I don't like this as currently proposed. Specifically, this incentivizes making many small donations instead of a few large donations. This is bad for you due to fees and having to deal with microtransactions, and it's just kind of annoying.

The length of this needs to be proportional to the size of the donation. Say, 1 month / $5. If this change is made, I will withdraw my complaints.
Do not question yourself with the why or the how. I simply am, and that is all you need to know.

Oh no worries, minimum donations would be required for it, lol. I was thinking $10/mo actually :)

No, I just think it'd be nice for people on the site to see who the ones are that are keeping the site alive... And as night said, micro transactions won't help the site so there does need to be some kind of restriction (minimum amount).
