I have to say that outside of Legend of Legaia, he's been in a lot of terrible localizations over the years.

Yes, more mini-games would have been great. I spent quite a while in Sol level grinding and playing around with all the different sub-plots and mini-games there. I spent at least twice as long on Sol as any other city.
