Legend of Legaia Speedrunning.
I know myself and Nightshade have been working on segmented speedrunning this game. Another runner, Deathtome, has been RTAing the game, and today beat the game in a single sitting in 12 hours and 22 minutes (11:40:56 game time) http://www.twitch.tv/deathtome/b/576681868. I think this can be improve...

Re: What Game Mechanics would you like to know?
Two questions more on arts, Meth: 1. I don't see Super Arts in your arts list....i assume they get different boosts too. 2. How does Tough Love's charm work? Seems to work to me 100% on normal enemies or so, but fail on certain minibosses who would otherwise be vulnerable? (Viguros in voz forest for...

Re: What Game Mechanics would you like to know?
Yup, I just checked. His Element is 00-Earth. Did you check against multiple moves of his? Maybe individual spells/skills can be different elements. Yes checked against multiple attacks. For every other boss, every attack seems to be of the same element - even Cort1 summoning Juggernaut is dark ele...

Re: What Game Mechanics would you like to know?
I have not noticed a drop in damage with earth jewel in testing. You sure? Every other boss I see a HUGE drop with the appropriate jewel.

Re: What Game Mechanics would you like to know?
Not sure if this is a game mechanic - but what element if any is Xain? It doesn't appear that any elemental jewels reduce his damage, but Gala seems to take less than other characters and Noa does more (as if he's earth element).
Is there some programming confusion here?

Re: What Game Mechanics would you like to know?
How is Nighto Kills calculated? Is the % odds improved by leveling the seru up? Found out Nighto is really simple. His formula is this... if (RNG(0..19-lvl) < 9) It's better to look at it like this though: Level 1 - 50% (9/18) Level 2 - 52.94% (9/17) Level 3 - 56.25% (9/16) Level 4 - 60% (9/15) Lev...

Re: Memory Addresses for Legaia Variables
Hmmm, curious: our memory addresses are close, but don't quite match:
I (well the TASer exileUT) had found Monster 1 HP to be:
000ED3D6
You have:
000ed3b0:
I just tested them both in PSXJin and they both have the same result. So there seem to be duplicate stuff in memory.

Re: Memory Addresses for Legaia Variables
Well, one of the big contributions that I have been working on - also for speedrunning purposes - is trying to get a good way to manipulate (read: brute forcing via save scumming) level-ups for each character. With the number of Magic and Miracle Waters in the game, it should be possible to be able...
